I have an existing Generac automatic transfer switch with grid primary and 24k generator secondary. I am tryin to add a second automatic transfer switch with solar power primary for whole house and output of 1st transfer switch as secondary. I am looking for solution that is NEC compliant and safe. Any ideas?

Where is the water coming from that's going into the hot water heate you have the heater coal to the water that goes in and out of the hot water heater so the water is going to be coming from somewhere going to the water heater

I don't see the pipe that is suppose to be bringing in water from the municipality in the first place.

Is the code going to make you all put the batteries into a fire box? I could see that coming. Or outside box to keep it clear of the electrical equipment. I've seen a few videos of that kind of thing, they didn't say anything about code but I can see it happening. Another great video.

Just saw your video and I like the idea of that approach. I ordered a Champion 8.5 home standby generator to charge my batteries and have my inverter control the generator. I have a Midnite Solar Rosie 7KW inverter. The idea of having the manual transfer switch to switch between the grid, gen and inverter. I will have to call to see if I can do that with my system.

Easier way. For some. Get a big water tote. Or make a wooden frame - or metal frame then line that frame w a plastic tarp Get a new hose. Place one end at the bottom. Then fill that tote wilth horse manure. Wind th hose e through the tote and keep filling w horse manure or other manure all the way to the top. So that the head of the hose is at the top where water can be poured into the hose as that manure is wrapped up w the tarp to cover it. The heat of the manure will heat the water as it's breaking down good packed tite can last aa a gearer this way fir 2 years !! Once the manure begins to get "hot". U can pour the water into the hose and as that water goes through the hose it comes out heated at the bottom of the house the bigger the tote the hotter it comes out. No ekectricity !!!

Perfect. This is some of what Alaskans off gridders do they keep a small fire going 24 7 though besides the wood stove too

Makes me think about a piece I watcher about the retirement in Florida The Village's. Golf Carts are king and they have miles of golf cart paths. A person could figure out a universal set up conversion. That's money in the Bank.

Do solar panels really leak chemicals into the ground?

Got 2 36volt carts with big battery lithium batteries with Genasun charge controllers and are having issues with them lasting. I would love to see if you have some insight on what could help us with these. Up the road from you 2 hours in NC.

Heck, you could sell those panels to other folks, that have farms, in colder climates. Keeping the chicken coups warm during the winter time. Great idea on the carts! God Bless.

If you have a a/c converter, good for portable power station Also have a fridge so always have something cool to drink. I'm sure if you do some reviews on products they will send you some.

With growing theft I started working with SEPCO in Florida who makes solar powered with battery store street, and parking lot lights. I am using their system for remote locations and mounting cameras as well as other sensors. You just need a pole and a battery. Also great video as always!

Could you not use optimizers/micro inverters the array would look funky but I would think you would do okay. Although I'm not an expert on mismatched panels by any means

The hot water return line should be attached to the side of the water heater below the water line... not doing it this way allows for the water to turn to steam instead.. you then get those perk bursts that are wastefull.. those steam bursts escape..
